Farewell Summer!

Thank you all so so much for your kindness to Summer last week! I think she was a bit overwhelmed by the ourpour of love and generosity you showed her as she left on her new adventure!

It’s looking like my friend, Brian will be called in for soup duty because the perfect soup booth assistant has yet to be discovered. Brian is an artist, author and photographer (which is why he can squeeze in some soup ladling on the side) he recently wrote and photographed a book called “can crafted” in which he goes deep into the world of European street art. You can check out more of his work on his Instagram pages @cancraftedart and @bloodyyank . Brian is a huge supporter of our farmers markets and can often times be seen filling in for the raw milk booth, little red hen bread and the green love elixir bar so he’s well versed in farmers market customer service.

Here’s what you will find at the soup booth this week:

Monday in Baywood, Thursday in Morro bay and Friday in cambria:

1. Tuscan White Bean

2. Tempeh Pósole

I look forward to seeing you guys and don’t forget your jars! And also, Summer’s position is still available. Brian can only fill in for a while because he’s off to Madagascar and Zimbabwe in October. He will gladly step down should someone want the gig!

Last day of Summer is the first day of Summer

Well, you guys, I’m so sad to say that this will be our dear soup booth assistant, Summer’s, last week behind the ladle. I am beyond grateful for our time together and wish her the best of the best that life has to offer in her new home. Be sure to wish her well, if you would, as I know she deeply cares about all of you.

Also, happiest of fathers day to all the dads!

Soup, bikes and dogs

If you have been following this blog for… well, even a week, you may have caught on that my whole entire life is soup, bikes and dogs, and you guys, this week was no exception. As I write this I have two pooped out pooches laying on my toes. The bikes are hanging back up on the wall and I’m planning out soups for the upcoming week.

I hope you all had a beautiful (despite windy) weekend. I hope everyone who graduated last week is getting a well deserved break and I’m really looking forward to seeing my summer visitors!

Also, I’m still looking for the right fit to work at the soup booth. You may have heard, our dear Summer will be moving and is unwilling to commute 13 hours each way to work… (what a slacker 😉).

Fancy soup booth

The soup booth moved to fancytown on Saturday for an event at Hearst castle called “twilight on the terrace.” It was so fun to participate and I even got to break away for a bit to enjoy the festivities!

You may have noticed a rather tall person working the booth last week! That’s my buddy, Brian and he’s kindly filling in as soup booth assistant cause …. 😥😥 Summer is leaving us! Summer’s position will be available in a couple weeks but I’d love to start training someone ASAP. If you are interested or know of anyone looking for a fast paced but fun gig, feel free to reach out stephanieburchiel@gmail.com or drop a resume by the booth!

Non stop fun!

Well hey guys! Thanks for giving me the week off! Our trip to the Oregon coast was absolutely fantastic! I could definitely do without the 13 hour drive on either side of it but I must say, it was totally worth it for the stunning beauty it provided.

We were treated with such kindness in Oregon despite my many warnings that Oregonians aren’t big fans of people from California. It inspired me to treat our central coast visitors with the same kindness we were shown while traveling.

While I was gone, my commercial kitchen was deep cleaned and I’m so looking forward to heading back in with a fresh start! Here’s what you will find at the soup booth this week!
