In my dad's orchard stealing all his fruit 🙂

Nothing feels more like summer to me than a big sheet of roasted tomatoes. I like to get a good char on the skins to build the tomatoe’s perfect flavor profile, sweet, salty, acid…it’s all there with this chef’s dream fruit. I’m using Slo Grown Produce ‘ s georgeous tomatoes this week in a new soup called Ribolitta.

Ribolitta is an Italian white bean and vegetable soup with white bread. Kirsten of Little Red Hen Bread was kind enough to make some extra sourdough loaves for me for a little non traditional twist. The test batch turned out great and I’ve been eating it all weekend!

Monday in Baywood, Thursday in Morro Bay, and Friday in Cambria :
