Bye bye, tomatoes


Industrial eats, worth the drive!

I’ve been scrounging around the market for the last of the field tomatoes for this week’s soup. I’m told that this is pretty much their last week of the year…so sad! I was able to make some tomato paste to use throughout the year but **insert whining voice** it’s just not the same! I am, however stoked to be seeing so many new heirloom varieties of winter squash in the markets. These are fun because you never really know what you’re gonna get on the inside.

Here’s what you will find at the soup booth this week :
Monday in Baywood, Thursday in Morro Bay, and Friday in Cambria
1.  Tuscan white bean
2. Carrot ginger
