So, the other day, I was long boarding in San Simeon and..
No joke…a humpback whale poked her GIGANTIC head out of the water right in front of me. It was awesome. She had two babies with her who turned on their sides, flukes up, to check me out too. What an absolute treat! I hope you all have an opportunity to get to the beach and check them out! The water is deepest close to shore at Montana de oro ( Bushon trail) and in the northern part of cambria ( moonstone beach) and pretty much north of cambria (the lighthouse is a good spot too). This deep water allows the whales to swim in super close to shore so you can get a good look at them from the comfort of the beach.
Here’s what you will find at the soup booth this week:
Monday in Baywood, Thursday in Morro Bay, and Friday in Cambria : Roasted Red Chili with hominy and Tempeh ( formerly known as tempeh menudo) and moong Dal (curried split mung beans with tumeric and potatoes).
I look forward to seeing you guys and don’t forget your jars!
