Well, its a beautiful day to be making gnocchi! As Im writing this, Im waiting for my potatoes to get tender enough so they can be mashed.

I’m so happy that the crisp, cool Fall air is upon us. The market is filled with butternut squash, pumpkins, pomegranates, HUGE beets, HUGE carrots and beautiful kale. It’s possible that I bought the world’s largest carrot from Linda Dela Cruz in Cambira on Friday. I set it out at my booth and it was photographed about 30 times =) Its headed into Yellow Split Pea soup tomorrow and it can’t wait!

Monday in Baywood: Yellow Split Pea (with a huge carrot) and Minestrone Gnocchi

Thursday in Morro Bay and Friday in Cambira: Fennel Beet with Quinoa and Tuscan White Bean (Im using Jorge’s heirloom tomatoes…the count down to the end of the season is near!)

I look forward to seeing you all, happy Birthday Robin Brown and don’t forget your jars!
