is it actually January?

Yet another amazing weekend here on the Central Coast! I hope you have all soaked in some sunshine and are enjoying your three day weekend (for those who have Monday off). Thanks so much for heading out to the markets last week when it was crazy cold and windy out!
A farmer approached me last Monday (which was one of the colder and windier markets I’ve been at) and said that he was thankful for the soup booth because it motivated people to come out in the cold weather and then they would buy produce while they were down there. So pat yourselves on the back for coming out and treating your bodies with love and healty fruits, vegetables and soup!
Here’s whats going on this week! (they’re all gluten free, Pat and Paul)

Monday in Baywood: Tuscan white Bean and Roasted Butternut Squash with Apple

Thursday in Morro Bay and Friday in Cambira: Turskish Bride Soup and EITHER roasted cauliflower or cashew broccoli (I say either because produce is a bit scarce at the markets this time of year and I’m not sure whcih I will find, cauliflower or broccoli)

I look forward to seeing you all and don’t forget your jars!

PS: Morro Bay folks! Thank you so much for supporting the soup booth! I will be making more soup for this market from now on and have brought my helper, Nick down from Cambria to help keep the pots full and the line running smoothly. Nick has been working at the Cambria market with me for a little over a year and doing an excellent job, however, he doesn’t drive and right now his parents are taking him from his house in Cambira to Morro Bay then from Morro Bay to Cambira each week to work the thrsday market with me. We are looking to find him a ride home from the market (morro bay to cambira) around 5:15. If any of you are heading that way and wish to take Nick with you and have a 20 minute chat on the way home about the latest video games, movies or electronics there’s a free jar of soup in it for you!
