keepin’ the bees!

They’re here! Field tomatoes! Yaaaaaay! Perhaps you are not as exited as I, however, as a soup maker, fresh tomatoes are such a joy! They make my job so easy as they provide a flavor profile of sweet and acid all in one little fruit! My favorite tomato growers can be found in Cambria, Los Osos, Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo and Templeton: Jorge (certified organic heirloom tomaotes…to die for), Ralph ( bio dynamic farmer, heirloom varities and heck,he’ll even sell you the plant so you can grow your own), and Peacock Farms ( Logan and Jessia know their tomatoes, and get me through the winter season with thier hot house vairties, their “big beef” variety in the summertime is my favorite though!, they are not certified organic, but to not use sprays on their amazing fruits and veggies)
