back to school time

a lovely spread from Bautista Farms

hey everyone! It was so nice to get back to a normal schedule after vacation last week, Im sure all you parents are happy to return your kids to thier classrooms and get back to your normal schedules, I hope you have all had a wonderful summer! A big congratulations to, Gavin, Emmy and Isabella who all start kindergarten this week, ‘I’m so proud of you guys! Ok, back to soup. Heres the plan for this week:

Monday in Baywood: Artichoke Chowder and Mung Bean and Lentil Dhal

Thursday in Morro Bay: Mushroom Barley and Chipotle Black Bean

Friday in Cambria: Mushroom Barley and Chipotle Black Bean

Also, I saw a cool documentary called “ingredients” which I think is worth checking out. Netflix has it on their “instant” list. It touches on the level of shrinking small family farms in the United States and the importance of knowing where your food comes from. In watching it, I became so thankful for all of you who shop at the farmers market week after week, supporting these small farms. You are truely making a tremendous difference in the quality of life for the farmers, yourselves, and future generations.
