it must be summer

we in the soup business love places like Los Osos…”why” you ask? Because when its 100 degrees everywhere else its  cool, foggy, and for lack of a better term…soupy in Los Osos. Im sure today will be no execption. I grew up on a cattle ranch in Los Osos up in the Irish hills south of Montana de Oro. Our house sat on top of  a very windy hill that overlooked the town of Los Osos and in the Summer we looked at the top of the gigantic fog bank that blanketed the town. I remember as a kid thinking how fantastic it would be to be able to nap on top of that fog bank. But, enough nostalgia, Monday’s hot soups will be Roasted Zucchini with Gouda and Lemon Thyme and Mung Bean and Wild Rice with Sundried Tomato and Fennel. frozen soups will be Roasted Zucchini with Gouda and Lemon Thyme and one lucky recipient will be able to snag my last Black Bean with Epazote and Lime.  See you there, Im stopping by the store to get another case of jars today in case you need one…oh…and wear a sweater =).
